A voyage assessment the shore team can stand behind

Owners already know armed teams are not always lawful or wanted. A written assessment from IMO identity, routes and cargo class is the first thing we can deliver, without a systems programme.

Most owners already know that armed teams are not always lawful, insurable or wanted. The harder question is what to put in their place, and how to show that the choice was made with care. A voyage security assessment is the product that answers that question in writing, without requiring anyone to buy equipment first.

The work starts from facts the shore organisation already holds. Every seagoing vessel has a unique IMO ship identification number; we need that number for each ship in the assessment so we can establish its characteristics. For example, 9624550 identifies the general cargo ship Oceanic. Then: which vessel, or which part of the fleet, is in scope. The corridors those ships sail or intend to sail. The class of cargo they carry. Corridor names are enough. A public request should not include ECDIS waypoints, cargo manifests, crew lists or the ship security plan.

What comes back is a written report addressed to the owner and the shore compliance lead. It is advice and evidence. It is not a legal determination, not an ISPS ship security assessment under the Code, and not an operations manual. It does not tell a master how to fight a ship, and it does not describe weapons.

That limit is the point. Flag states, insurers and auditors ask whether the owner considered exposure before they chose a posture. They do not need a public website to rehearse tactics. They need a document the shore team can produce and explain.

Owners typically commission the assessment when a programme of non-lethal systems, training or platform access is under discussion — or when they need to show that those programmes were not bought on habit. The assessment stands on its own. Basic, Standard and Premium are not for sale yet; we will launch them shortly, starting with Basic. None of those tiers is required in order to order a report.

We work from major EU ports, including Rotterdam, Amsterdam and Antwerp. We are not an armed PCASP provider and we are not an AIS tracking company. Insurance effects, if any, are decided by the insurer. We do not claim that risk is eliminated.
